Art

No news story today, because I couldn’t find one I particularly liked.  Instead I wanted to talk about something that is very important to me in my life, art.  Art, to me, is an expression of an idea through other ideas which are fictional.  Yes, this means that I think journalism is not art.  This opinion spewing thing that I do is not art, but communication.  I am an artist though, which has shaped my life over the years.  I have become more open and forward with my opinions, which even led me to create this opinion blag.  I owe my livelihood to Art.

Art is a lot of things.  It’s not just the comics, cartoons, and paintings you see.  Art is a lot of different types of expression.  Poetry, prose, video games, and web designs are all art in their own respect.  We often take this for granted as humans.  Many of the “cultured” high class attend art galleries and parties featuring art.  They walk around and talk about the composition and other things they don’t know about, but I have never seen a pretentious connoisseur of cascading style sheets or flash games.  It’s unfortunate and I hope the human race expands their view of art culture.

As for me personally, I’m a writer.  I obviously do a little bit of journalistic and opinion writing, but my real passion is fiction.  I’m currently doing a project called The City of Bad Taste, which is a very prestigious project with millions of subscribers.  Check it out, I’m serious.  Other than that I have several short stories and am currently working on starting a basic continuity for my main characters’ world.  Soon you can see even more from me, but until then, stay artistic.
